In 2018, I went for a long walk around Wales in memory of my nan, Florence Conroy.

The aim: cover as many of the 870 miles as possible and raise money for Alzheimer’s Research UK in the process.

Unfortunately I only managed 505 miles in 40 days but people’s incredible generosity still raised over £2,500.

In 2024, I’m doing another walk as a continued tribute to my nan but also in memory of Alan Pearlman—my friend’s dad who also suffered with the disease.

This time, I’ll be walking around Anglesey (an island off the coast of Wales) aiming to cover 130 miles exclusively on foot in 10-12 days. And once again, I’ll be doing it in aid of a charity, this time for the Alzheimer’s Society.

As ever, any donations hugely appreciated.

The last walk highlights and lowlights included:

- Sleeping under a bridge on the first night.
- Falling into a river.
- Growing a solid beard.
- Being chased by angry farmers on quad bikes.
- Physically not fitting into Britain’s smallest house.
- Falling into a river.
- Sleeping in a giant doll’s house.
- Having a tantrum in a field after being sent 3 miles the wrong way.
- Stinging my penis on nettles during a pee into a hedge after ducking to avoid the angry birds that flew out of it.
